Mt. Pleasant Church Family,

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

I wanted to take a moment and communicate our plans for ministry, outreach and worship as we move forward.

We will be sending out emails and posting on social media several outreach and community service opportunities. As many are having to stay at home that also frees up some to help their neighbors and church family. We will be providing an opportunity for folks to share needs that they or others around them have. We will then work to pair them with volunteers who are able to assist with those needs. We will also offer a registration for individuals to make their gifts and talents available (pharmacy pick up, grocery delivery, tutoring, visitation and prayer…) Our goal is to boldly share the unfailing love of Jesus with those around us when it is needed the most.

Be sure to call and check on the elderly, those who live alone, and those who are single moms, to find out how we can help the most.

Adult weekday and weeknight groups will communicate their individual schedules with their members. Some may alter meeting schedules and others may continue as normal. Leaders should contact those in your small group.

We want to encourage people to be safe and avoid being in gatherings if you are sick or have underlying health issues. You are loved and in our prayers.

  • Online Worship: For those who choose to worship during this period online, you can do so beginning this week through facebook, MTP App or roku tv. This service will be streamed live at 9:45am. It can also be watched at other times on facebook and throughout the week on the church app. We encourage you to share links of our services to your friends and family who may not have this option offered by their local church.

We appreciate everyone’s prayers and support during this difficult time. We will continue to offer ways we as MTP Church can serve our community moving forward. We will do all we can to boldly witness to our confidence and hope in Christ.

All of our Mt. Pleasant church families are invited to join together in a time of fasting, bible reading and prayer from sun-up to sun-down on Wednesday, March 18th. Take time when you would normally sit down for a meal to center on God’s Word and spend time in prayer. There are several small groups in our church and community participating. The purpose is to focus on God’s voice and will for each of us during this difficult time, and be encouraged by his Word and promises.

Obviously, changes are made every day and we may have to make adjustments at a moment’s notice. We will update this plan as needed and will keep everyone informed as best we can.
